The ENT / Otorhinolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Department at Nootan Medical College and Research Centre is dedicated to providing exceptional care for a wide range of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck conditions. Services we provide are as follow:
Generalized ENT check-up:
- Otoscopic examination of ear conditions like wax, fungus, Drum perforations, cholesteatoma
- Vertigo Check up, tinnitus evaluation
- Examination of nose & nose related diseases like Deviated Nasal Septum, turbinate hypertrophies, polyposis, watering of eyes, allergic rhinitis, adenoids
- Throat examination for enlarged tonsils, oral submucous fibrosis, tongue tie
- Neck examination for thyroid disorders, lymph nodes, neck swellings
- Examination of salivary gland diseases
- Examination of suspicious oral and neck cancers
Diagnostic and minor procedures:
- Microscopic examination of ear diseases
- Wax/fungus/foreign body removal by various procedures like Syringing, suction clearance
- Management of small Tympanic perforations without operation (by TCA application)
- Diagnosis and management of vertigo by various maneuvers
- Endoscopic examination of nose
- Endoscopic examination of larynx for voice change, breathing difficulty
- Treatment of OSMF(reduced mouth opening) by injections and medications
- Diagnosis of oral cancers by biopsy
- Hearing assessment tests like PTA
- Speech Therapy
- Earlobe repair surgery
Treatment by surgical management:
- Microscopic and endoscopic surgery of Tympanic membrane perforations
- Microsurgeries of ear and mastoid diseases
- Management of collected fluid behind drum (grommet insertion)
- Microscopic surgery for fixed ear ossicles (otosclerosis)
- Endoscopic surgery for deviated nasal septum (endoscopic septoplasty)
- Endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)
- Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy(DCR)
- Operation for enlarged adenoids (adenoidectomy)
- Operation for enlarged tonsils (tonsillectomy)
- Emergency procedure like Tracheostomy
- Microlaryngeal surgery for vocal cord nodules and polyps
