Nootan Medical College and Research Centre, a constituent college of Sankalchand Patel University has successfully organized an insightful seminar cum expert session on global opportunities for medical graduates titled “MBBS & Beyond: Strategic Roadmap Beyond Borders” on January 12, 2026. The event, held at the medical college new building, aimed to provide medical students and interns with a comprehensive guide to global career pathways and research opportunities in the medical field.
The session featured Dr. Urvish Patel, Director of the Research Update Organization in Texas, USA, as the Guest Speaker. Dr. Patel shared his extensive expertise on the strategic steps required for Indian medical graduates to excel on the international stage, specifically focusing on residency programs, clinical research, and advanced certifications in the United States and other global healthcare hubs.
The program was graced by distinguished leadership, including Dr. Anil Nayak (The National President of the Indian Medical Association, Delhi) as the Guest of Honour, Shri Prakash Patel (President, SPU), Prof. (Dr.) P. M. Udani (Provost, SPU), Dr. Vijaysingh Baghel (Dean, NMCRC), and Dr. Bharat Shah (Director, NMCRC).
The expert session was attended by more than 150 students and interns together.
The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students engaged with Dr. Urvish Patel to discuss the practical challenges and rewards of pursuing a medical career “beyond borders.” This initiative reflects SPU’s commitment to providing its students with world-class exposure and the tools necessary to become leaders in the global medical community.
