White Coat Ceremony for the new MBBS batch of 2023-24 was held at Nootan Medical College & Research Centre, Visnagar on 18th December 2023.

Blood Bank: External Quality Assurance Scheme Scoring
Blood Bank of Nootan Medical College & Research Centre,Visnagar affiliated Nootan General Hospital has achieved 100 percent marks scoring in the EQAS( External Quality Assurance Scheme)for this year. This is the highest score in entire India in 2023. This is the best testimonial for the quality of blood Bank services provided by our Blood Bank.
Since October 2020 consistently in last 3 years our Blood Bank has scored highest ( 100 percent marks) in entire India in EQAS ( Quality Assurance parameters )suggesting good work carried out by NGH blood bank.

WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY 2024
To promote Blood Donation Awareness among the society members following events were successfully conducted on this day –
(1) Blood Donation Camp was conducted at Nootan General Hospital Blood Center and Apheresis Center. In this camp total 65 Blood Units were collected. Blood donation was mainly contributed by students of Nmcrc and Ayurvedic Medical Colleges , Facuties and Staff of the SPU constituent institutions and University Officials.
(2) Pledge by Students , faculties and Staff to create awareness regarding regular blood donation by self and to persuade others to donate blood so none of the patient dies due to nonavailibility of the blood.
(3) Poster competition was conducted for students of Second mbbs . It was a group competition and in that 15 posters were received. Some of the eye-catching posters are displayed here – reveals hidden creativity of Medical students reflecting attempt to create Awarness regarding Blood Donation, safe blood donation process & Importance of blood for human life. Meaningful slogans were quoted by students in the posters.
Samrakshan Symposium
We are delighted to have successfully concluded the Samrakshan IRIA programme organized by the Gujarat State Chapter IRIA at Nootan Medical College & Research Centre, Visnagar, on 16th June, 2024. The event was graced by eminent state and national faculties, including Dr. Hemant Patel – Founder patron of Samrakshan IRIA, Dr. Rijo Mathew – Founder of Samrakshan IRIA, Dr. Mrugesh Doctor – President of the Gujarat State Chapter, IRIA, Dr. Gaurav Goswami – Hon. Secretary of the Gujarat State Chapter IRIA, Dr Kalpesh Shah – Former National Vice President, IRIA HQ, Dr Y T Patel – Former National vice president. Proud matter for all our faculties Dr Akansha Baghel – Associate coordinator samrakshan IRIA, Dr Hariram Jat – Professor and head, Pacific medical college, Udaipur, Dr Gurudatt Thakkar – Professor at NMCRC, Dr Nisha Bhojwani – Asstt.Professor at BJMC, Ahmedabad & Dr Pratyaksha Rana – Consultant Radiologist at U N Mehta institute of cardiology, Ahmedabad.
Through live demonstrations, panel discussions and scientific lectures, we conveyed a powerful message of Societal good, motivation and awareness for Samrakshan IRIA. Together, we aspire to a healthier, more optimistic India.

CME Radiology
We are thrilled to share the resounding success of the recent CME event held on 2nd June 2024 at Nootan Medical College, Visnagar, organized by the Indian Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (IFUMB) in collaboration with the North Gujarat Radiology Association (NGRA).
This event was marked by the presence of esteemed faculties such as Dr. Sudheer Gokhale, Dr. Bipin Shah, Dr. Ashwin Lawande, and Dr. Manjula Virmani & Dr Gurudatt Thakkar whose exceptional lectures enriched our knowledge and inspired us all.
The lecture sessions and hands-on workshops focused on Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Gynaecological imaging. We were delighted to host 115 delegates and witness the vibrant participation of Radiology Residents from various medical colleges across Gujarat. *The event showcased 29 E-posters and 15 oral papers on MSK and Gynec imaging, highlighting the remarkable research and innovation in these fields.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this CME a grand success. Let us continue to strive for excellence and innovation in the field of radiology.
Whitecoat Ceremony
Nootan Medical College and Research Centre affiliated with Sankalchand Patel University organized white coat ceremony ( induction ceremony) of 4th MBBS Batch for academic year 2022-23. Well known ophthalmologist Dr.Parimal Desai and General Secretary IMA(HQ) Dr.Anil Nayak were guest of honour for the ceremony. Both the guests gave motivational speech to students. Honorable Mr.Prakashbhai patel, President of Sankalchand Patel University welcomed all new students and gave assurance regarding world class infrastructure and experienced faculties. The occasion was graced by honorable provost Dr. D. J. Shah, Respected Dean Dr. Himanshu joshi, Respected Director Dr. Bharat shah, Respected Registrar Mr. P K Pandey and Medical Supretendant Dr Pankaj Nimbalkar.

CME on Colour Doppler with Hands-on Workshop
We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to our recent CME, with over 100 delegates from various parts of Gujarat and 40 resident students from different medical colleges took part with Scientific E Poster Presentation Organized by the Department of Radio-diagnosis at Nootan Medical College & Research Centre, Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, the event showcased scientific E-Poster presentations, which were a key attraction.
Our esteemed guest speakers, Dr. Nitin Chaubal from Mumbai and Dr. Prashant Onkar from Nagpur, delivered insightful lectures that added immense value to the event, enriching the knowledge of all participants. We extend our gratitude to our esteemed faculty members, Dr. Gurudatt Thakkar, Dr. Anil Patel, Dr. Bhavin Zumkhawala, and Dr. Devang Thakkar, for their outstanding presentations and for facilitating insightful hands-on workshops.
Honorable Chairman, Shree Prakash Patel Sir whose visionary and dynamic approach, coupled with a strong passion to serve society with the best healthcare system, has been instrumental in the success of the event. We are immensely proud of his unwavering support throughout.
Dr. Rajendra Solanki, Head of the Radio-diagnosis department, led the entire CME with a strong message of technological advancement and the highest quality services provided by the Radiology department to the general public. His leadership, along with the active involvement of the entire Radiology department, has ensured the success and impact of the event.
Dr. Gurudatt Thakkar Sir, whose vision and dedication have been the driving force behind the CME and hands-on workshops. His leadership and commitment to excellence have been exemplary.

World Oral Health Day
Today i.e 21/03/2024 Department of Community Medicine in collaboration with the Public Health Dentistry Department of NPDCH Celebrated “World Oral Health Day” at one of the adopted Iyasara Village under family adoption programme.As a part of celebration Dental Health Check up camp and Health Awareness Activity were organised. CME-Imaging update 2024
Department of Radiology, Nootan medical College & Research centre Visnagar and IMA Visnagar jointly organised CME on Imaging update 2024. Pious presence of Hona’ble chairman sir shree Prakash Bhai Patel, provost sir Dr (prof) P.M. Udani sir, Respected Dean sir Dr Vijaysinh Baghel,IMA president Dr Pankaj Patel and Secretary Dr Chirag Patel. CME was graced by All IMA members from Visnagar along with faculties from Radiology department. Dr Rajendra Solanki HOD have shared his knowledge about Marvells of MRI and Dr Gurudat Thakkar Prof had spoken about fetus radiology and future fetal medicine department.
Dr Ishan Shah has served responsibility for MOC and Dr P C Patel MS had expressed vote of thanks.
It was a wonderful, interactive with attendance of 125 delegates and first of its kind evening CME with dinner with private practitioners from Visnagar in our own auditorium. (14/03/2024)
