Chandipura Virus Infection: Diagnosis, Management & Prevention

The Department of Community Medicine, Nootan Medical College & Research Centre, Visnagar, organized a sensitization training on “Chandipura Virus Infection: Diagnosis, Management & Prevention” on 14 July 2026. The program aimed to enhance awareness regarding the epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and public health significance of Chandipura Virus infection. Expert sessions were delivered by Dr. Bharat Desai and Dr. Neel Desai, followed by an interactive discussion addressing recent outbreaks, surveillance strategies, case management, infection prevention, and vector control measures. The training was attended by faculty members, postgraduate residents, interns, MBBS students and paramedical staff strengthening their knowledge and preparedness for the early detection, prompt management, and prevention of Chandipura Virus infection.
