Awareness Program on NABL Accreditation & Its Benefits (Gunvatta Yatra)

Nootan Medical College and Research Centre, Visnagar, in collaboration with NABL, organized an Awareness Program on NABL Accreditation and its Benefits under the Gunvatta Yatra initiative. The activity was conducted to strengthen quality culture in laboratory services and to create awareness about national and international accreditation standards in healthcare.

The program witnessed active participation from 77 registered participants, including laboratory professionals, faculty members, postgraduate students, senior residents, laboratory technicians and faculty from Ayurvedic and Homeopathic colleges. The multidisciplinary representation reflected a growing commitment toward quality assurance and standardized laboratory practices.

Mr. Romesh Nayi, Coordinator for the National Board for Quality Promotion at QCI, elaborated on the role of the Quality Council of India and its accreditation boards in promoting quality and standardization across healthcare and laboratory services.

Mr. Chandrakant Solanki, Deputy Director, NABL, delivered expert sessions on accreditation processes, documentation requirements, and the benefits of NABL accreditation. He highlighted how accreditation enhances the credibility, reliability, and international acceptance of laboratory results and strengthens confidence among patients, clinicians and regulatory authorities.

Outcome:
The program served as an effective platform for knowledge sharing and capacity building. It enhanced participants’ understanding of quality management systems and accreditation requirements, thereby reinforcing the institution’s commitment to quality-driven healthcare, academic excellence and compliance with national accreditation standards, in alignment with NAAC quality initiatives.
